Twelve months has done nothing for her anger and resentment, knowing that Ryder sits a few feet away from her sandwiched between his mother and the bitch who wishes she was in his bed permanently.
I gave her my heart— buried it deep inside her, and I never want it back.. I felt like Laney should of put on her big girl panties and fought for him too, as much as it sucks having people against your relationship, if you love the person you should fight for it.

And even though at the beginning it felt like it was heading in a totally smexy direction, in the short time we got to know Ryder and Laney, their dirty mouths, wit and charm showcased in their hilarious banter juxtaposed with the profound emotions for each other endears them and the story to you. I liked it but it didn't pull me in and swept me of my feet.. For me it's important that I can live and feel with a book, that makes it a more fun book. So when I go to work I can think the whole day about the book.
But this wasn't it for me. It was a good story and I would tell you go for it maybe it's you 3. It was a good story and I would tell you go for it maybe it's your diamond. Winter Kisses is actually the second book in a series from Addison Moore. This novella focuses on Laney Sawyer and Ryder Capwell rekindling a relationship after a year apart. Ryder's mother didn't want them together and had done everything in her power to break the two apart.
I actually haven't read the first book in the series myself but this seemed to read fine without having read it. A few mentions of past events but most of which could just be characters giving out their back story as with a Winter Kisses is actually the second book in a series from Addison Moore. A few mentions of past events but most of which could just be characters giving out their back story as with any other book. Starting off I didn't think I was going to enjoy this story just for Laney's complaints about Ryder in the first chapter.
Really it didn't sound like he was all that bad for her to continue on and on about him. It really seemed to grow on me from that point though, lots of chemistry between Laney and Ryder and a better look into the behind story later on got me rooting for them in the end. Overall, hot and steamy novella for a good quick read. At times, I had to suspend my belief a little further just to stop from rolling my eyes but when I did; I really did enjoy this fluffy nugget of sweet goodness.
I haven't read any others in this series yet and will probably get onto it once my cavities are repaired from this sweetness, but this book can be read as a standalone as aside 4 Stars This was an easy-to-read, low angst, cutesy and sweet story with super corny sexual innuendos and lots of fairytale-like sunshine, lollipops and rainbows.
I haven't read any others in this series yet and will probably get onto it once my cavities are repaired from this sweetness, but this book can be read as a standalone as aside from the introduction of all the main characters at the beginning, I was able to get the gist of what was going on and how it all connected. A very short and super quick read; I would totally recommend this book for anyone needing a quick sugar fix that also loves fairy tales and perfect heroes.

But I can't say that I loved everything about it. It's more about the childish play with dirty talk. I don't know, sometimes, they're funny, sometimes, they're downright gross, and sometimes, they're just plain sorry attempts. And maybe it's the writing, because really the writing just annoys the hell out of me at times.
At least, it's not scattered everywhere this time unlike 3 AM. But will all the sexual stuff ever recede? Even just a little bit? I hope so. It's not that pretty, you know. And this time, I'm shipping them. Sure they sound childishly stupid and whatever, I don't really know and I can't really explain, at times but you know that they're just playing. Sometimes, all the play ain't funny though. Their relationship has its base. Yes, it's not solid, but there's no relationship that starts with a rock-hard foundation.
But I think Baya and Bryce are heading for the good road, and that's great. But Laney and Ryder have history, a long one. Overall, it's really short, and I hoped we got more on the show but no we didn't. And I really like that this book is finally saying something: Don't let other people ruin what you love. And stand up for yourself. You can be good without being a doormat. Was that just me or if you have read this too did you see that too?
And they still love each other even though they have been apart for a year. Laney had to make her point with Ryder. Ryder needed to see what Laney was telling him all along about his mother and Meg. Ryder has regretted not seeing the writing on the wall and losing the only person that ever mattered to him. Laney has been able to avoid Ryder at all costs.
At least that is what she keeps telling herself. Switch to English sign up. Phone or email. Don't remember me. Aleyska Diaz Otero. Aleyska Diaz Otero pinned post 1 Jan.
